Counselling &
Somatic Therapy
Welcome. I’m Helen.
I’m a late-diagnosed AuDHD woman and a registered person-centred counsellor and yoga therapist.
I offer a trauma-sensitive space where you are welcome exactly as you are, however you are.
Neuro-affirmative and trauma informed therapy online or in person
in Brighton and Hove, UK.
What does near-affirmative therapy mean?
Offering neuro-affirmative counselling - meaning I recognise and celebrate neurological diversity.
I hope to create a safe, inclusive space where individuals can explore their experiences, navigate challenges, and build confidence while embracing their authentic neurodivergent identity.
Support is tailored to each person’s unique needs, helping them thrive in ways that honour who they are.n
What does trauma informed therapy mean?
Trauma-informed therapy recognises that past experiences can affect how we think, feel, and respond to the world. It provides a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.
I work with compassion, choice, and understanding, helping you feel safe, build coping strategies, and move towards healing—without pressure to talk about anything before you're ready.
I work relationally, because I believe healing is possible through a safe, attuned connection. With care and consent, we notice what arises between us and within you, creating space for new experiences of safety, trust, and empathy.
Our work is collaborative and paced by you and your nervous system. If you wish we can draw on nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and nature connection supporting you to build a deeper relationship with yourself — one rooted in compassion rather than criticism.
We might talk, sit in silence, slow things down, notice breath and sensation, or explore how your body carries your story. I am guided by you and your wishes and hopes for therapy and life.
